Biographical Information

Courtney Pilchman is a certified criminal law specialist and former Deputy District Attorney.  Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney she was a member of some of the most elite prosecution units including Crimes Against Children, Family Violence and Sexual Assault. She prosecuted very high profile cases and had a stellar trial record. In her capacity as DDA, she worked closely with judges, district attorneys, defense experts and law enforcement agencies.

After leaving the DA’s office, she opened the law firm of Pilchman & Kay, PLC with her colleague, Anita Kay. As a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Pilchman is able to utilize her skills as a trial attorney along with her legal connections for the best interest of her clients. She has an accomplished track record as an aggressive trial attorney earning her the respect of her peers. Equally impressive, Ms. Pilchman has been complimented as an attorney who is willing to spend time with her clients, educating them on the process and giving sound legal advice.

Courtney has handled thousands of criminal law cases from the initial filing stages to trial. Ms. Pilchman earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California. After college, she received her law degree from Chapman University School of Law and then went on to George Washington University School of Law where she received an advanced legal degree in litigation and dispute resolution. She is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in Criminal Law.

Ms. Pilchman is also a guest on local and national news programs offering legal analysis for the biggest cases in the country. She has commented on Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman, Michael Jackson, Natalie Holloway and Jodi Arias. In addition to her television commentary, Ms. Pilchman also speaks to medical organizations and physicians on medical/legal matters.
