Biographical Information

Andrea “Andee” Dyer Hastings is a founding partner of Waggoner Hastings LLC, an Alpharetta, Georgia, law firm providing family law and divorce-related legal services throughout the metro Atlanta and North Georgia region. Andrea holds an *AV Preeminent rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability with Martindale Hubbell.  As an attorney, Andrea assists clients with a wide range of matters including divorce, domestic partnerships and dissolutions, child custody, visitation rights, child support, paternity and legitimation cases, contempt matters, domestic violence matters, prenuptial and post-marital agreements, post-divorce modifications, and more. She regularly lectures on family law issues and Collaborative Practice at continuing education events.  She has been a special guest lecturer on “Collaborative Divorce” at Georgia State University College of Law.  Andrea is also a guardian ad litem, trained to protect the interests of children involved in contested custody matters.  She is also trained and certified as a mediator to assist families in finding resolutions to their family law matters.  Andrea is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s School of Law in Athens, a certified collaborative law attorney as well. She is also an active member of the family law sections of the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia, the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia, and the National Association of Professional Women.  Andrea actively mentors young law students seeking to enter the practice of law.  Andrea also volunteers her time mentoring high school, college and law school students competing in mock trial events and honing their skills as future lawyers and advocates.  Ms. Hastings and Waggoner Hastings, LLC were featured in the July 15, 2013 edition of Forbes Magazine’s- “Leaders in Law- Georgia”.
