Artila Tasho

Artila Tasho (formerly Artila Lubonja) is a family law attorney at Miller & Tasho in Waterbury, Connecticut. Atty. Tasho serves clients in the greater Waterbury area, central Connecticut and throughout Litchfield County. She handles matters involving divorce, alimony, child support, custody, paternity, post-judgment modifications, prenuptial agreements and relocation. Additionally, she is a certified guardian ad litem, representing the interests of children and vulnerable adults.

Prior to joining Miller & Tasho, she spent several years as a staff attorney at The Children’s Law Center of Connecticut. While in this role, she served as a guardian ad litem in countless cases, representing the best interests of children involved in custody litigation. The experience allowed her to develop her argumentation skills and comfort with the courtroom.

Today, Atty. Tasho is a seasoned trial attorney but is also highly experienced in out-of-court negotiation. Whenever possible, she engages in alternative dispute resolution techniques, such as mediation, to help families who wish to resolve legal conflicts in a less adversarial manner.

Atty. Tasho graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to earn her law degree from Western New England University School of Law in 2012. She gained legal experience during law school by clerking with the Hampden Probate and Family Court in Springfield, Massachusetts, and interning for the Waterbury Department of Children and Families.

An active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Atty. Tasho belongs to the Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Section. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Waterbury Bar Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the international psychology honor society, Psi Chi, and a Board Member of the American Savings Foundation. She enjoys serving the Waterbury community through participation in local committees.
