Biographical Information
Laura Davis Smith limits her practice to the area of Marital and Family Law and has devoted her entire 23 years in the legal profession to handling sensitive and complex family-law related matters. She is managing partner of the Coral Gables, Florida firm of Davis Smith & Jean, LLC. Ms. Smith is a SuperLawyer as named by SuperLawyer Magazine, she is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, is Board Certified as a Specialist in Marital and Family Law by the Florida Bar, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and was named 2017 Family Law Attorney of the Year in Miami by Best Lawyers. Ms. Smith is very active in the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, presently serving as its Immediate Past Chair. Ms. Smith is well-respected by the judiciary and her peers. A frequent contributor to various legal publications, Ms. Smith is also a frequent lecturer, and has led the premier educational training for divorce lawyers in the State of Florida.
