Biographical Information

A graduate of William and Mary School of Law, Michael offers a record of success in demanding professional and academic endeavors. In 2005, Michael began his career in the Tampa area by accepting an appointment as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida. During that post, Michael represented the Department of Revenue in numerous paternity, support and modification cases. Michael also represented the State’s interest while intervening in several Dissolution of Marriage hearings.

In 2008, Michael accepted an appointment as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County. Representing the citizens of Florida, Michael prosecuted a broad range of crimes that included misdemeanor traffic offenses and first degree felonies punishable by a life sentence. As a state prosecutor, Michael was counsel of record for over 40 jury trials, lead counsel on over 20 of those trials.

In 2010, while working for the State Attorney’s Office, Michael accepted a position as an adjunct professor with St. Petersburg College. During his time with the college, Michael has taught Civil Litigation and Legal Research and Writing. He continues to receive positive feedback from the students and faculty while working in the Legal Studies Department.

Michael’s professional and academic experiences reflect the interpersonal relations and problem solving skills that allow him to represent clients with complex legal issues. These experiences have exhibited his ability to build constructive relationships, earning the trust and respect of clients and colleagues. Michael has worked effectively with a multitude of people possessing diverse backgrounds, work styles and expectations.
