Mr. Berryman was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1991, and he represents clients in Atlanta, the metropolitan Atlanta area and surrounding counties in Georgia.

 

 

 

Education

After graduating from Oxford College of Emory University with an Associate of Arts in 1986, Mr. Berryman earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 1988. He then attended the University of Georgia School of Law and received a Juris Doctor in 1991, graduating cum laude.

Professional Experience

Scott Berryman has been representing clients involved in divorce, child custody and child support matters since 1991. He has extensive experience in resolving cases that involve complex and contentious issues. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials throughout the State of Georgia and is a skillful advocate both inside and outside of the courtroom. Most importantly, he understands the needs and concerns of people who are going through divorce and custody disputes, and he provides his clients with the confidence found in knowing that their interests are his priority.

Scott was a partner at the largest family law firm in Georgia. He left that firm in 2009 because he saw the need to represent his clients in a personalized and individual way that is not possible with the bigger family law firms.

In addition to family law related matters, Scott has represented clients in business and real estate disputes, as well as trust and estate litigation. His experience and knowledge in these areas help him represent his divorce clients, who are often faced with valuing and untangling their related business and real estate assets.

Scott is an AV Preeminent® rated attorney, who has been recognized for his legal ability and professionalism in numerous surveys, including the Georgia Super Lawyers list and the Best Lawyers List, and he holds the position of Master in the Charles L. Weltner Family Law Inn of Court.

Mr. Berryman is a member of the family law sections of the the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association, and he is a master of The Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court.
