Biographical Information

CAPTAIN Reginald McKamie of Houston, Texas.  Is an attorney who has argued cases in Texas, Maryland, California, Alaska and Kansas.  His practice focuses on maritime law, however, he has argued civil and criminal cases.  He has successfully argued cases before the Texas Supreme Court and The U. S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He has lectured on maritime safety and law in Canada and China.  He served on the National Academy of Science Transportation Board and the U. S. Navigation Safety Advisory Committee.

 

Prior to practicing law, Captain McKamie served as a Captain on Exxon tankers.  A licensed Certified Public Accountant, he has served in a Human Resource function and as a Senior Financial Analyst.  He retired from the U. S. Navy as a Captain.

 

McKamie received his BS from the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy, MBA from the University of Southern California and JD from the University of Houston.
